Emily Thoreau turned 30 in May celebrating, as is usually her way, alone in the opium dens of Limehouse in London's docklands. Her father, Rainer Thoreau, is a renown historian and keeper of manuscripts at the British Museum. He would go missing in a few days from now. The only clue will be an accent manuscript titled "9". Emily embarks on a journey that will lead her to uncover an ancient underbelly of the Vatican and the truth behind a collection buried deep with the British Museum.
